Riley's Way Safety Promise

Safety first

Riley's Way is built to protect children while encouraging confidence.

Because Riley's Way serves young Black girls, safety cannot be an afterthought. The app is designed around parent-led access, data minimization, moderation, and cautious rollout of social features.

Parent-managed access

Parents create accounts, manage billing, add child profiles, confirm consent, and contact support. Children do not create independent checkout accounts.

Nickname-only child profiles

Child profiles should use nicknames and age paths instead of public full names, addresses, school details, or public contact information.

Community and photo safeguards

Encouraging words and hair photos can be powerful, but those features stay behind safety gates until moderation, reporting, parent approvals, and anti-bullying controls are ready.

No bullying or harsh appearance comments

Riley's Way should block bullying, shaming, harsh hair comments, unsafe adult behavior, attempts to move conversations off-platform, and any request for a child's private contact details.

Report concerns quickly

Parents can use https://app.rileysway.com/report-concern to raise safety, privacy, photo, or behavior concerns for review.
